Greek Islands Fish and Seafood

The Greek Islands are renowned worldwide for their incredible fish and seafood due to the close proximity of the Ionian and Aegean seas.

Most of the villages on the Greek Islands are in fact fishing villages and have been for thousands of years. Fish specialities vary from island to island but remain one of the most popular things to eat in Greece. It's useful to know that fish is divided into 3 classes – A, B, and C, so for example lobster is classified in group A, sea bream in B and mackerel in C.
