Best Wedding Venues in Greek Islands
Handpicked by a Local Expert
Assyrtico is a recently established wine restaurant set within a preserved and renovated mansion dating back to the 1960s. It is centrally located right in the heart of Fira town, facing the amazing Caldera of Santorini.
The restaurant's front balcony offers a spectacular view of the famous volcano and a bay always full of cruise ships and luxury yachts.
No matter where you decide to sit, don't forget to taste some of the traditional Greek dishes such as Saganaki (Gruyere cheese wrapped in pastry crust served with fig marmalade marinated in Vinsanto wine), the Assyrtico Salad (green salad, grapes, cherry tomatoes and goat cheese), the Santorini Risotto with local ingredients or the Greek version of Cheesecake (made with Greek soft cheese - Katiki - on rusk bread).
Ask the friendly staff to show you the restaurant's wine cellar. One of the mansion's rooms has been carefully converted into a small wine 'paradise', offering a great selection of Greek and international wines.
