Gavalas winery has become a family tradition in Megalochori of Santorini. They have been engaged in the vinification of the varieties grown on the famous island since the end of the 19th century. Following the long-standing tradition and experience of 3 centuries, this family owned business has been carrying out the vinification of the island's indigenous varieties. Their aim has always been the introduction of superior quality wines with unique characteristics for the local and international market places.

Now it spans a 18 acre vineyard planted with Santorini PDO native varieties Assyrtiko, Athiri, Aidani and several rare local Katsano, Gaidouria, Mavrotragano, Voudomato. The winery is equipped with modern machinery and a capacity of 150 tons.

George Gavalas and his colleagues welcome summer visitors from 10 am until 8 pm at the traditional Canava, where you will have the oportunity to taste the long variety of their wines. This is a challenge to wine lovers.
