Hike and boat trip

Come and spend an action-filled day on Andros island! You will walk, swim, explore archaeological sites, land and sea-bed, rest and have a lovely picnic on the beach.

From Ano Aprovato we take a part of the “Wide Road” (Fardia Strada), the medieval road and signposted path No. 9, pass by the impressive waterfalls, walk on the steep sides of Mount Petalo and go down towards Paleopoli. We stop at the roadside café in the shade of a huge plane tree to try the spoon-sweets and visit the nearby Archaeological Museum.
We continue down to the Paleopoli beach, exploring the archaeological site of this city that served as the capital of Andros for an entire millennium.
We will then board the waiting “Nemo,” which is fully equipped for the trip that our captain will take us on, to respectfully explore the sea-bed around the ancient harbor breakwater.
Afterwards, we will depart for the nearby sandy beach of Koutsi, where we will rest, swim and have a picnic.
We return to Batsi or Gavrio by boat.
