This tour offers a full-day journey through the highlights of Lassithi Plateau and the legendary Palace of Knossos—combining mythology, nature, and authentic Cretan culture. Discover the Cave of Zeus, Vidiani Monastery, Lasinthos Eco Park, the traditional village of Krasi, and a scenic Olive Mill Farm before ending at Knossos, where the Minoan civilization comes to life. Morning Pick-up We begin collecting participants from their pick-up points in the morning. Drive time varies depending on location. Drive from last pick-up: approx. 50 minutes 1st Stop: Vidiani Monastery – 25 minutes A peaceful Orthodox monastery at the foot of Mount Louloudaki, surrounded by nature and silence—an ideal introduction to Crete’s spiritual side. Bus Drive: 15 minutes 2nd Stop: Psychro Cave (Cave of Zeus) – 1h 40min Next, we visit the legendary Cave of Zeus, believed to be the birthplace of the king of the gods. As you descend into the illuminated cavern, you’ll encounter dramatic chambers decorated with impressive stalactites and stalagmites formed over thousands of years. The mystical ambiance and geological beauty make this one of Crete’s most iconic ancient sites. Entrance fee: 15€ (not included) Bus Drive: 10 minutes 3rd Stop: Lasinthos Eco Park – 45 minutes Experience traditional Cretan craftsmanship at Lasinthos Eco Park. Visit artisan workshops such as pottery and candle making, and meet animals at the small farm—perfect for all ages. Bus Drive: 20 minutes 4th Stop: Krasi Village – 25 minutes A charming mountain village famous for its natural springs and the legendary ancient plane tree. A short but refreshing stop to experience authentic rural Crete. Bus Drive: 25 minutes 5th Stop: Olive Mill Farm – 2 hours Enjoy a guided experience at a scenic olive mill overlooking the mountains and the sea. Learn about olive oil production and local products, with the option to enjoy a traditional Cretan lunch (extra cost). Bus Drive: approx. 1 hour 6th Stop: Knossos Archaeological Site – 1 hour The final destination of the tour is the world-renowned Palace of Knossos, the heart of the ancient Minoan civilization. A guided tour reveals the fascinating history of Europe’s oldest city, as you explore restored chambers, colorful frescoes, and the remnants of an advanced Bronze Age culture.
