Your journey begins with convenient hotel pickup in Kissamos, where your friendly English-speaking local guide welcomes you and introduces the day ahead. As you travel along the scenic off-road route to Balos, you'll discover the history, culture, and natural beauty of western Crete through live commentary and local stories.
Enjoy breathtaking panoramic viewpoints along the way, with opportunities to stop for photos whenever possible. If you would like an even more memorable experience, you may choose to drive the 4x4 yourself for part of the route, provided you hold a valid driving licence and meet the required conditions.
Once you arrive at the famous Balos Lagoon, you'll have plenty of free time to swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters, relax on the white sandy beach, or hike to the spectacular viewpoint overlooking the lagoon.
