Description

Come aboard for a real day on the water — not just a sightseeing loop, but a proper Cretan sea experience with sailing, fishing, swimming, and good food. We leave from the Marina of Agios Nikolaos and head into the Mirabello Gulf, one of the most beautiful and dramatic bays in Greece. Along the way, we pass Spinalonga — the old Venetian island fortress and former leper colony that inspired Victoria Hislop's novel The Island. Your crew shares its history as you take in the view from the water. We then anchor in a sheltered bay with clear turquoise water. Swim, snorkel among Cretan marine life, or pick up a fishing rod and try your luck from the boat. All equipment is on board and ready to use. If you're curious about how the boat works, ask. Our crew loves sharing what they know — whether it's reading the wind, handling the sails, or understanding how to navigate these waters. You're welcome to get involved as much or as little as you like. When it's time to eat, we lay out a proper Cretan spread: shrimp pasta, dakos (Cretan rusk salad), tzatziki, fresh salads, and a fruit platter — all made with local ingredients. To drink: unlimited beer, wine, soft drinks, water, and a glass of raki to finish, the way any good Cretan meal ends. Two departures: Morning Cruise — 09:00 to 14:30: Calm water, great visibility for snorkeling, the best time for fishing. Afternoon Cruise — 15:00 to 20:30: Warm light, quieter seas, a beautiful end to the day. Whether you're an experienced sailor, a first-time snorkeler, or just someone who wants a genuine day out on the water — you'll feel at home on this boat.
