Rhodian Dancers

The team of the Rhodian Dancers dedicate themselves to tourism, performing a number of traditional dances from all over Greece with similar costumes, on Rhodes island, and other popular destinations.

The creation of this professionals' group started 9 years ago by Joseph Sialoup and Kyriakoula Kyriazi. Within these years the dancing team has grown to 4 or 6 members with 3 or 4 musicians and an extra instrument the lira or klarino.

Their dancing experience has given the reputation and the acknowledgement they deserve, taking part in numerous events, festivals and private performances throughout the entire summer season. They also perform a show through modern songs and dances and the way Greek people entertain.

The costumes being used, are the traditional outfits being used over the years at Crete, Macedonia, Thessaly, Thraki and Dodecanese.

The program of the Rhodian Dancers lasts for 2 and a half hours, in accordance with the requirements of the occation, the audience experiences the steps and choreography of chasaposerviko, chasapiko sirtaki, and the kalamatiano.
