‘Seven against Thebes’ by Aeschylus, the performance of the National Theatre of Northern Greece that stood out, touched the audience and the critics and won their admiration, is coming back after the great artistic and commercial success it  had last summer.
Aeschylus’ extremely powerful political tragedy, directed by the internationally renowned Lithuanian director Tsezaris Graouzinis and translated by the poet Giorgos Blanas, will begin from the Forest Theatre of Salonica on Saturday 24 June, while it will also constitute the opening performance of this year’s Epidaurus Festival, on 30 June and on 1 July 2017.  Afterwards, a big tour across Greece will follow.
