The Chios Mastic Museum er det ideelle sted at lære alt om mastik, teknikken til den traditionelle dyrkning af gummi mastiktræet og produktets historie, udviklingen af de præindustrielle og industrielle produktions-, udnyttelses- og markedsføringsmetoder af mastik.

Der lægges også vægt på midlerne og metoderne til, hvordan mastikprodukter rejser rundt om i verden i vores dage. Museets oplevelse fuldendes på deres udendørsområde, hvor besøgende rent faktisk kan se planterne og det naturlige miljø, hvor de trives.

Museet ligger i det sydlige Chios, på bakken Rachi (Tepeki), i Pyrgio-regionen. Det bredere område kaldes også lokalt Mastichochoria.
